That’s the message from a national Lung Cancer awareness campaign which starts on May 8th. The campaign aims to inform people of the symptoms of the condition, encouraging them to present to their GP if they recognise the signs.
The newly formed shadow Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), made up from GPs across Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole, is encouraging local people to support the national campaign designed to stop young people take up smoking.
A UK-wide consultation on whether tobacco should be sold in standardised, plain packaging, has been launched by Health Secretary Andrew Lansley.
